Happiness is Huge!

Happiness-
a state of well-being and contentment

It is the huge feeling of joy, the opposite of misery.

"Wherever you go,
Carry happiness
With you."
Short poem on Happiness- By Sri Chinmoy

In america, the weekends and the holidays are the happiest times of the year.  The period from Friday evening through Sunday evening, especially regarded as a time for leisure, is the weekend.  "You"-time.  Family-time. Happy-time.  During the week, most individuals work.

Humans experience happiness as a stimulated emotion spawning from the brain. Chemicals create euphoria.

"Imaging studies suggest that the happiness response originates partly in the limbic cortex. Another area called the precuneus also plays a role. The precuneus is involved in retrieving memories, maintaining your sense of self, and focusing your attention as you move about your environment." (Healthline.com)

Sociologically speaking, we identify happiness through facial expressions.  A smile is obviously happiness. Happiness encompasses any positive emotional display.  It's acceptable.  Sometimes it's integral.

"Happiness is not something you postpone for the future; it is something you design for the present."
Short poem on happiness- by Jim Rohn.

Practice makes perfect. Seek out pleasurable emotions and sensations. Utilize your true self. Find activities that combine those moments.

One of the most memorable phrases from the Declaration of Independence was on life, liberty, and the pursuit of happiness.

We know happiness.  It's free.  Keep it.  2020 might be one of the saddest moments in global history.  Happiness is a state of wellness.  The news and media should support this a bit more.

"Happiness is one of the many emotions
maybe the greatest off all."
Excerpt from a poem on happiness- Noami Burdett.
