Covid Cleaning

Cleaning And Disinfecting Your Home; COVID CLEANING.

No one likes to do it, but it is one of those duties that has to be carried out.  Humanity is polluting the Earth. We are cleaning up our own mess, simultaneously.  On a personal basis, if you make a mess and clean it up, there is no mess in the first place.  There are isles, in virtually every store, dedicated to cleaning merchandise.  You can find an "as seen on TV" aisle with limitless items dedicated to the upkeep of your own living space.

Now that COVID-19 is here, these items are flying off the shelf at record pace. "How to" videos are going viral. Holistic health is on an upswing. Some products that had lost their luster are back in the limelight. Hand soap has become golden. Who knows, you might be able to find some personal Binaca on the shelf, too.

How to clean and disinfect:
  • Wear disposable gloves to clean and disinfect. They are called disposable for a purpose. Make sure you aren't using them to the point where they break. Use them, change them, throw them away.
  • Clean surfaces using soap and water.  Soap is the ultimate product. It has a really nice scent.
  • Practice routine cleaning of frequently touched surfaces.  (Tables, doorknobs, lightswitches, countertops, handles, desks, phones, keyboards, toilets, faucets, sinks).  These surfaces carry an absurd amount of bacteria.

Disinfect
  • Clean the area or item with soapy water, or detergent if it is dirty.  Detergent is great when you need a gritty medium.
Then, use a household disinfectant.
  • Use EPA-registered household disinfectant.  If it's not EPA registered it could literally be water diluted.
  • Wet the surface. Leave for one minute.  Leaving disinfectant on for one minute will give you optimum strength.
  • Have good ventilation during use of the product.  Fumes from cleaning solutions are dangerous.
  • Diluted household bleach solutions may also be used if appropriate for the surface.  Make sure the surface is compatible.
  • Check expiration date.  Expired solutions will change consistency, in some cases.
  • Unexpired household bleach will be effective against coronaviruses when properly diluted.  Pay attention to your dilution technique.
  • Never mix household bleach with ammonia or any other cleanser.  Remain vigilant, but smart.

Bleach solution, mix:
  • 5 tablespoons (1/3rd cup) bleach per gallon of water.
  • Or, 4 teaspoons bleach per quart of water.

Alcohol solutions:
  • at least 70% alcohol.

Soft surfaces (carpeted floor, rugs, and drapes):
  • Clean the surface using soapy water, or with cleansers appropriate for use.  These sufaces are sensitive to cleaning solutions.

There are tons of ways to clean and disinfect properly. You may add sanitizer to the list.

In order to figure out different ways to clean and prevent the virus, you have to understand the virus.

The coronavirus or COVID-19 is similar to influenza.  There are a variety of symptoms including fever, cough, shortness of breath, gastrointestinal problems, diarrhea, etc. To diagnose a potential case, healthcare professionals may run tests to rule out flu and other infections.

Symptoms of COVID-19 may appear within 2-14 days after exposure. Many people experience mild symptoms.  The virus can lead to severe illness, or possibly death.

Cleaning and disinfecting your home/ work environment is very important.

American Product Trade Growth

Charts are all in favor of American product trade growth.

"The total return indexes for the S&P 500 Index, U.S. investment-grade corporate bonds, high-yield debt, and sovereign and quasi-sovereign debt have risen to record levels in the wake of the Federal Reserve's signal. It stands ready to lower interest rates for the first time in over a decade (bloomberg.com)"

The TOTAL RETURN INDEX  is an equity index. The total return index for the Standard & Poor's 500 Index, which is a market-capitalization-weighted index of the 500 largest U.S. publicly traded companies, tracks group stock capital gains.  There is an assumation that any cash distributions are reinvested back into the index.  It indicates the activity, or growth, of the index. Investopedia.com

U.S. INVESTMENT GRADE CORPORATE BONDS have a low risk of default.  Standard & Poor's bond ratings use designations consisting of upper- and lower-case letters 'A' and 'B' to identify a bond's credible quality rating. 'AAA' and 'AA' (high credit quality) and 'A' and 'BBB' (medium credit quality) are considered investment grade.  Credit rating for bonds below these designations ('BB', 'B', 'CCC', etc.) are considered low credit quality, and are commonly referred to as junk bonds.

HIGH-YIELD DEBT has a high risk to default.  SOVEREIGN DEBT is a central government's debt. Sovereign debt is issued by the national government in a foreign currency.  This is in order to finance the issuing country's growth and development. The stability of the issuing government can be provided by the country's sovereign credit ratings which help investors weigh risks when assessing sovereign debt investments.  Sovereign debt is also called government debt, public debt, or national debt.

QUASI-SOVEREIGN DEBT is credit issued by corporates that are essentially government-backed or government owned.

When the Federal Reserve Bank lowers interest rates Federal funds are reduced.  Reducing the federal funds rate makes money cheaper.  This allows an influx of credit into the economy through a wide variety of loans.

All of these movements are pushing toward a better economic environment for the United States.  "President Donald Trump has pushed the issue to the forefront, proclaiming that his government will have two major economic goals http://www.businessinsider.com/what-does-made-in-usa-actually-mean-2017-2."

Currently, a huge gap between import and export is a still an issue.  In 2018, total U.S. trade with foreign countries was $5.6 trillion. That was $2.5 trillion in exports and $3.1 trillion in imports of both goods and services. The United States was the world's third-largest exporter, after China and the European Union.https://www.thebalance.com/u-s-imports-and-exports-components-and-statistics-3306270

The import and export margin will even out.  We need more brands and retailers that sell merchandise 100% made in the USA https://clark.com/shopping-retail/american-made-in-the-usa/.

The American economic environment is favorable.

A.i., Machine learning, and Deep learning

We are all very close to Artificial intelligence.  A.i. is used in movies, video games, online searches, and chat services.   A.i. is all around us. (https://ai.google)

A.i. is in a bowl with deep learning and machine learning.

A.i. functions together with machine learning and deep learning.  For example, they're uniform in spam recognition.  A.i. initiates a watch on the suspected spam.  Machine learning accurately tags the spam.  Deep learning is the help chat bot that will discuss the effects of the spam.

A.i. learning is reactive.  This type of learning has a relatively limited memory.  A.i. learning possesses theory of mind, and self awareness.

Machine learning is the result of lightly supervised learning.  Machine learning can be initiated from unsupervised learning, too.  Machine learning has to be reinforced in the end of the process

Deep learning is mostly decision making which requires large amounts of training data.  The data has to emerge from high end systems.  Deep learning is from provided data with end to end solving.  "Deep Learning (DL) uses layers of algorithms to process data, understand human speech, and visually recognize objects. Information is passed through each layer, with the output of the previous layer providing input for the next layer. The first layer in a network is called the input layer, while the last is called an output layer. All the layers between the two are referred to as hidden layers. Each layer is typically a simple, uniform algorithm containing one kind of activation function(https://www.dataversity.net/)."

These systematic algorithms will play increasingly important roles in the future.  A.i. will be able to predict crimes before they happen.  There will be humanoid A.i. helpers.  Machine learning is going to be a major part of increased healthcare efficiency.  Machine learning will spawn better learning techniques.  Deep learning will give us increased personalization, and hyper intelligent personal assistants.

These algorithms cannot match the true complexity of a neuron, in the human nervous system, but that is the goal.  Growth of A.i., machine learning, and deep learning will be very interesting.
