IRAs 2023

IRAs

     Individual Retirement Arrangements (IRAs).  (IRS)

The key to IRAs are Start saving as early as possible, and make monthly installments to get compounding effects.  Your IRA is part of the money that you’re setting aside for the future. Pay attention to the taxes on those accounts. Envision your complete portfolio: stocks, bonds, real estate, foreign markets, etc.

IRAs make your money work for you.  IRAs allow you to make tax-deferred investments to provide financial security when you retire.

Research different types of retirement accounts.  You can set up an IRA with a bank, or other financial institutions, life insurance company, mutual fund, or a stockbroker.

     Types of IRAs: (CNBC)

A traditional IRA is a tax-advantaged personal savings plan where contributions may be tax deductible. You must qualify. The 2023 contribution limits are, $6,500, or $7,500 if you’re age 50 or older by the end of the year; or your taxable compensation for the year.

A Roth IRA is a tax-advantaged personal savings plan where contributions are not deductible but qualified distributions may be tax free. The 2023 contribution limits are the same as traditional. $6,500, or $7,500 if you’re age 50 or older by the end of the year; or your taxable compensation for the year.

A Payroll Deduction IRA plan is set up by an employer. Employees make contributions by payroll deduction to an IRA (Traditional or a Roth IRA) they establish with a financial institution.  It is probably the simplest retirement arrangement that a business can have. No plan document needs to be adopted under this arrangement. May be eligible for Savers credit. The 2023 contribution limits are, $6,500, or $7,500 if you’re age 50 or older by the end of the year; or your taxable compensation for the year.

A SEP is a Simplified Employee Pension plan set up by an employer. Contributions are made by the employer directly to an IRA set up for each employee.  Employee is always 100% vested in (or, has ownership of) all SEP-IRA money.  Contributions an employer can make to an employee's SEP-IRA cannot exceed the lesser of 25% of the employee's compensation, or $66,000 for 2023.

A SIMPLE IRA plan is a Savings Incentive Match Plan for Employees set up by an employer. Under a SIMPLE IRA plan, employees may choose to make salary reduction contributions, and the employer makes matching or nonelective contributions.  Employer is required to contribute each year.  Contribution matching contribution up to 3% of compensation (not limited by the annual compensation limit), or
2% nonelective contribution for each eligible employee.  Inflexible contributions.

A SARSEP - the Salary Reduction Simplified Employee Pension Plan - is a type of SEP set up by an employer before 1997 that includes a salary reduction arrangement.  An eligible employee is an individual (including a self-employed individual) that has reached age 21, worked for the employer in at least 3 of the last 5 years, and received at least $750 in compensation for 2023.

IRAs offer investment options,  too.  Contributions  to your retirement account are deducted from your taxes.  Although, there are Deduction Limits.  Rollovers have a variety of rates.  Rates also apply to accounts when there isn't a named beneficiary.

The individual credit offered is the Saver's Credit.  Individuals may be able to take a tax credit of up to $1,000 if they make eligible contributions to an IRA.  Criteria:  Age 18 or older,  not claimed as a dependent on another person’s return, and not a student.

Saver's Credit amount is 50%, 20% or 10% of account contributions in the year. (Investopedia)

IRA maximum contributions will allow the most growth in your retirement account.  Investments are smart.  Avoid losses by diversifying, watching fees closely, investing in safe assets and avoiding early withdrawals.  IRAs are FDIC insured with amount limits. Saver's Credit and contributions matching are the standout points in IRAs.

What Are the Side Effects of a Very Low-Calorie Diet? Is it safe?

Individuals on a very low-calorie diet for 4 to 16 weeks, at 900 - 1,500 calories per day, report minor side effects such as fatigue, constipation, nausea, and diarrhea.  These conditions usually improve within a few weeks.

Gallstones are the most common, serious side effects of very low-calorie diets.

          Gallstone mechanism:

     1. Bile supersaturation.

     2. Nucleation and initiation of stone formation.

      3. Enlargement of the gallstone by accretion.

There is a triangle of cholesterol, phospholipids, and bile salts.  Progressively: micelles, micelles + vesicles, micelles + crystals, and micelles + vesicles + crystals.

Gallstones, or cholelithiasis, are stones that form in the gallbladder.  These stones are made up of cholesterol, bilirubin, and bile.  Gallstones are more common during rapid weight loss. When the body experiences a calorie deficit, it starts to break down fat for energy.

During strict calorie defecits, the liver secretes more cholesterol.  When this secretion is combined with bile, gallstones form.

Gallstones function to cause major problems if they accumulate into a duct blockage. Intense abdominal pain, jaundice, chills, back pain, shoulder pain, nausea and vomiting result. Pain episodes last from minutes to a couple of hours.

In order to avoid gallstone formation during a low calorie diet, stay on a scheduled mealtime.  Avoid fasting. Lose weight slowly as opposed to rapid weight loss. 1 - 2 pounds a week is gradual.  Aim towards fruits, vegetables and grains.  Obesity, and  generally being overweight is bad. Instead of rapid weight loss to maintain shape, stay on a healthy diet, and continue to exercise. (pubmed central)

Low calorie diet vs keto diet is a popular research topic.  They're similar because of their low calorie weight loss basics.  The diets limit intake differently, though. The keto diet is more restrictive. The low calorie diet is a better alternative because of long term sustainability. Staying on the diet is the key to success.

In conclusion, low calorie diet is safe and the potential side effects are minor.  The side effects are mostly avoidable, too. The body requires a  balance of foods from different food groups. Providing balanced nutrition, meal satisfaction, on a low-calorie diet is difficult. In addition, consuming as few as 800 calories daily may not give you the energy you need for daily living and regular physical activity.  Steer toward variety, steer away from repetition.

To Purchase an EV, or to not Purchase an EV, 2023.

An EV is defined as a vehicle that can be powered by an electric motor that draws electricity from a battery and is capable of being charged from an external source. (IEA.org)

The choices are extensive in 2023.  Choose wisely.

Some newer, up to date models have long waiting lists. You can buy a used EV right off the lot, right now, though.

EVs are the right choice if you want to help the environment by cutting emissions.

In comparison, combustion engines have more repair costs than EVs. Although, the EV trade off in repair costs hasn't completely been charted, yet.  Mechanics for combustion vehicles are everywhere.  You might go to an EV station to get it repaired and there might be only one EV mechanic.

EVs began with a bad wrap.  To be nice, the original Prius was very ugly.  Current EVs are more normal and brand worthy.

The ranked Best Used Electric Cars 2023:
1. Nissan Leaf
2. Tesla Model S
3. Tesla Model 3

     Other EVs 2023:
BMW i3
Chevrolet Bolt EV
Kia Niro EV
Hyundai Kona Electric
Volkswagen e-Golf
Kia Soul EV
Jaguar I-Pace
Ford Mustang Mach-E

In general, the more range on a single full charge, the bigger the battery, and the higher the price of the car.  The average price, right now, for an electric vehicle is more than $60,000. That’s before incentives, rebates, and tax credits from the state, federal and local government. Tax credits can add up to a $10,000 savings per car, depending on the vehicle and in many cases, a buyer’s income.

The key to not spending so much money when going used is to make sure the original seller is giving you all of the original charging equipment. It becomes extremely costly to have to purchase new EV charging equipment.  In a sample EV search, the battery specifications weren't listed online. Make sure it is an asking point, and possibly a bargaining point at the dealership. (Consumer reports)

The range on older EVs tends to be fairly low.

Ask the sales people if the battery is new. Obtain battery maintenance paperwork. New EV battery replacement is expensive. Basic battery warranties on EVs are more or less than 8 years or 100,000 miles.

Estimate your needed charge range. As previously, the newer the EV, the longer the range. Is the vehicle for business use?  Is the vehicle for personal use?   Think about the convenience of your access to charging stations. You should have one charging station at home, and you should have other charging stations on your daily route. Charging stations have different levels: one, two, and three. Also, consider the charging speed of your charge station. Are you ready to spend all day sitting there, or would you rather charge your car, all night, at home? You won't miss the ease of access to gas stations until they're no longer an option. Metropolitan cities have a variety of charging stations while some cities don't have any at all.

EVs are available with top ranges from about 100 miles to more than 500 miles.

Although the warranty is 8 years/ 100,000 miles, the first 5 years are the best miles in a new EV.  After 5 years, or so, the mileage per charge reduces drastically.

Area electric charging compatibility inconveniences can become a problem.  Charger locations can be unsuitable. It takes a long time to charge a car.  Depending on the vehicle and the charger, it can take from half an hour to several hours for a full charge. Public chargers don't always work perfectly, the same as gas station pumps.

Tax credits are available for EV drivers.  Yes, there are nice tax incentives for EV owners. Research state tax credits details.  Make sure that the Make, and Model of your EV dwells underneath the requirements to receive a tax break.

Some researchers say an EV costs more to use and fill up than it does to fill up a gas powered car.  The cost for a new EV battery can be upwards of $15,000. These statistics can change based on the economy.

Noticeably, how fun is it to sit for 35 minutes to recharge your car versus 3 minutes to fuel up a combustion car?  Take a guess.

In conclusion, an electric vehicle is a nice choice if you have the available funds. Money is always an issue, but in this case, it seems to be the only deciding issue.  Convenience is a heavy trade-off. EVs are quiet and very modern. If you have the money you don't really need the tax credits.  Always research customer comments.  Dealing with climate change, in 2023, is a really good argument in favor of an EV.

Test drive at least 3 different EVs.  Check out some comparison videos, too.

The Zombie Leaf Blower, by Swegi Gonbup, Gonbup Productions©2023, Chapter 3: G-mo at T-mo.

Chapter 3: G-mo at T-mo.

It could be considered telekinesis. That power he harnessed will show up again. J-rod peers in the reflective surface of the van in the back of the alleyway.

His ANSI/ISEA high vis, standard compliant uniform is beyond superior. Jose has mangled his victims repeatedly with out ever moving the suit beyond a brand new, out of the plastic, immaculate, florescent appearance. It seemed like the reflective stripes were electric, autonomously powered on with no off switch. He was preparing himself. J-rod had found G-mo.

Some prostitutes talk to anybody. In full uniform, J-rod was able to get the lead he required to get Guillermo. The ladies had J. following a trail of breadcrumb that wound through shadowy archways and clandestine shops. He peers in windows. A fight gym on the edge off the strip. A hushed conversation, overheard through cracked windows, provides a tantalizing hint that points back to the arena. J-rod is racing with anticipation mounting. He finds a bench at the street corner and slumps in thought.

He remembers the scene at the Vegas Arena. G-mo had gotten away that time. Guillermo sent him from his harmonious Jalisco upbrought surroundings to Estados Unidos to face muerte segura. Bastardo sin espinas. J-rod planned to leave him without a spine, this time. He caught up to Guillermo where he'd found him before , almost the exact location. The Vegas Arena parking lot. A leaf blower in uniform, working around an Arena was easy to blend into. The big marquee scrolled, welcome to T-mobile Arena. J-rod blew some garbage through the parking lot. He made his way to the employee/ back entrance. His zombie moan gives off with, "I see you G-mo, motherfucker."

G-mo approached his 2024 Caviar Black 3.5 L V6 dual electric motor 354 hp Lexus LS 500 hybrid. He has a smug swag to match his smirk. His Zombie senses heightened, J. hears foot steps. He pauses.

A raucous crowd of partygoers saunters by, their laughter and banter punctuating the night air. Not far from them, in the parking lot, J-rod, the Zombie Leaf Blower, stands off to the side, his presence an eerie anomaly amidst the revelry. The backpack leaf blower, Pb 9010t, rests on his gym toned zombie back, silent.

The partygoers' curious gazes lock onto the incongruous sight of the idle leaf blower. Their conversation takes a mocking tone, rife with disrespectful, drug induced defiance.

"Yo, check that out," one of them says, his p.o.v. laced with a mix of amusement and disbelief. "Look at Mr. Leaf Blower over there, ain't he supposed to be doin' some serious sanitation shit?"

Laughter erupts, punctuated by the exaggerated fake hacking motions one of the guys makes. "Hate, seriously, bro, he's just standing like an N.P.C., totally glitched out."

"Must be a noob, can't even handle the basic leaf-blowing mission," another partygoer chimes in, chuckling.

A girl with brightly colored hair, almost a perfect pink, joins in, her voice dripping with sarcasm. "Maybe he's waiting for a quest from the Maintenance Hunch-ho. Gotta level up those leaf-blowing skills, you know?"

Their laughter reverberates through the night, a chorus of mockery aimed at J-rod's silent presence. Unaware of the impending terror that lurks within him, they continue their banter, their voices fade into the distance as they move further down the neon-lit street. The cool guy slips his hand into the butt crack of Pinky's gothic skirt. She walks on awkwardly. Little do they know that the Leaf Blower they've just mocked harbors an evil that defies their understanding, a force that is about to be unleashed in a torrent of violence and gore.

In the twisted dance of fate, J-rod, a hybrid zombie with an enigmatic past, enlists himself at the end of Guillermo's trail. The labyrinthine streets of Las Vegas had led him on an invisible path, loop-to-loop that had brought him face-to-face with his next meal. A destiny, marked by an evening sky painted with ominous hues, bore the weight of a coup de grace.

With undead strength coursing through his decaying muscles, J-rod's voice, a chilling whisper of malice, shattered the stillness. "Head charge, bro.?" Guillermo's world splintered as he stumbled, the faultless concrete offering no reprieve for his scuffling dress shoes. The metallic clink of keys against unforgiving ground underscored his vulnerability, a symphony of fate's cruel irony. G-mo countered, "What the ...?!"

J-rod's eyes flickered with an otherworldly intensity as his peripheral gaze shifted to his trusty companion, the backpack leaf blower adorning his glowing, reflective form. The Echo x series Pb 9010t resonated with an eerie energy, an extension of his malevolent will. Vroom. The gas burning fumes wreaked, although there was no gas in it. Ether realm science.

Guillermo was quick on his toes. Not quick enough. Not this go-round. The Pb 9010t exploded in his fucking face! The fat pipe forced heated air that pushed the vic into the Lexus car door. Blam! Shoom. Grunts, and pummeled struggling were unheard. No witnesses. No referrees to save your crusty ass, my friend.

In J-rod's mind a fuzzy television screen plays a familiar episode of his beloved Nat-geo. "In the shadowy depths of the wilderness, a sinister dance of nature unfolds. A snake, its sleek and sinuous form coiled in predatory readiness, approaches a motionless marsupial. The air is thick with tension, a palpable energy that crackles like electricity as the snake's predatory instincts take center stage."

With stealth born of millennia of evolution, the zombie inches closer, its dusty skin glinting dully in the muted light. Its movements are deliberate, each sinuous undulation a calculated step towards its target. That motherfucker looks tasty, a defenseless creature of the city, squirming, his fate sealed by the cruel whims of his own nature.

As the undead head draws nearer, the Zombie Leaf Blower lashes out his abnormal tongue. It flickers out, tasting the air with a predatory precision. The scent of its prey is intoxicating, a potent cocktail of fear and vulnerability that feeds the senseless voracious hunger. With a sudden burst of speed, the zombie strikes, its fangs sinking into the soft flesh. It's hard to differentiate from where the gasps were originating. Those were final breaths.

Zombie powerful jaws engulf the fighting body, the predator's neck elongating with an almost grotesque fluidity. Guillermo's limbs twitch reflexively, a final gasp of life extinguished by the executioner's relentless grip. The zombie jaws flex, a horrible ballet of biology as it maneuvers its prey into its insatiable piehole.

The dry throat has undead rhythmic contractions that serve as a grim symphony, a prequel to the unstoppable force of an unnatural cycle. The marsupialish body disappears within the sewer, hole, food drain, mouth opening that blurs the lines between predator and prey. The once-vibrant bad actor is reduced to a formless mass, its essence becoming one with the serpentish insides.

As the poltergeist continues its feast, the event is etched into the fabric of the city. The human life is erased, absorbed into the belly instantaneously, a mark on the grip of some unknown grand design.

J-rod made G-mo spill his last shot. The concrete was tarnished, blackened, befouled, tainted with blood. A crime scene. Evidence that zombies exist.

Security personnel descended upon the scene, their flashlights casting disjointed shadows against the gruesome tableau before them. J-rod's form melted into the shadows once more, leaving behind a trail of stunned witnesses. There was a vile funk in the air. It's sour. You can taste a new crime scene. It has a puckering affect. It will make you throw up, vomit, caste out the darkness.

The Las Vegas Arena security squad, driven by a mix of awe and terror, gave chase to the elusive specter that had torn through their midst. Parkour, but why? J-rod's supernatural abilities, an unexplained zombie hybrid-smooth limp rendered their pursuit futile. Through a maze of corridors and stairwells, J. moved with an uncanny stealth, a whisper in the night that defied their every effort.

And so, as the final echoes of the night's horrors faded into obscurity, J-rod, the Zombie Leaf Blower, slipped through the grasp of the Las Vegas Arena security squad. J-rod got it done.

Heat Waves 2023, and Global Climate Change.

As a concerned citizen living in Texas, understanding the ramifications of heat waves assumes paramount importance. Defined as prolonged periods of abnormally hot weather lasting more than two days, heat waves can occur with or without high humidity, affecting vast geographical areas and exposing a substantial number of people to hazardous heat conditions.weather.gov

Emerging scientific analyses posit that heat waves might potentially become the new normal due to the overall global increase of one to two degrees Celsius. Evidently, certain locales have endured a full month of scorching temperatures exceeding 100 degrees Fahrenheit, while water temperatures have escalated to the point of simulating a warm bath. Areas such as Florida, grappling with these circumstances, are witnessing an escalation in perilous weather conditions, including thunderstorms that give rise to dangerous hazards like lightning, tornadoes, hail, strong winds, and heavy rainfall that can lead to flooding. cdc.gov

The widespread outbreak of wildfires has emerged as a distressing global phenomenon, occurring simultaneously in multiple regions. These extreme conditions have proved perilous, resulting in several deaths. For instance, two airmen tragically lost their lives while attempting to combat a wildfire by deploying water. As a consequence, numerous houses and neighborhoods have fallen victim to the ravaging infernos. npr.org

Regrettably, the impact of heat waves is not limited to humans and property. Animals, including pets taken on walks, have endured suffering due to paw burns caused by scorching surfaces. In certain areas, concrete burns have also been documented. Hospitals have reported an increase in cases of heat exhaustion, necessitating more proactive measures to address these health concerns. humanesociety.org

During periods of extreme heat and humidity, the human body's thermoregulatory capacity is challenged, leading to potential heat-related illnesses. Recognizing the symptoms and knowing appropriate responses becomes imperative. Heat cramps, characterized by painful muscle cramps and spasms, may serve as an early warning sign, potentially leading to heat exhaustion or stroke. Addressing the symptoms promptly and seeking medical attention when necessary is crucial.

Heat stroke, as the most severe heat-related illness, demands immediate attention, with symptoms such as throbbing headache, confusion, high body temperature, and loss of consciousness. Employing suitable first aid measures, such as moving the individual to a cooler environment, reducing body temperature, and avoiding fluid intake, is vital.

In conclusion, as extreme climate conditions, particularly heat waves, continue to manifest, vigilance and preparedness are paramount for communities across various regions, including Texas and Florida, to minimize the adverse impacts on human lives, the environment, and infrastructure. Embracing a scientifically informed perspective and taking proactive measures can contribute significantly to mitigating the challenges posed by the evolving climate landscape.

People experiencing heat stroke often begin acting strangely, like they are “drunk with heat,” as a doctor said. A person who is dangerously overheating may seem confused or agitated.  Help them.  Help yourself, too.

Be careful. Stay cool, literally.

The Zombie Leaf Blower, by Swegi Gonbup, Gonbup Productions©2023, Chapter One: J-rod.

Chapter one: J-rod.

It's break time. This is a temporary worker, day pay facility. Dudes show up, first come, first serve work. Daily. In the corner are some tables and benches. Dudes are talking. One guy chimes in, "Yeah, I know that hoe. I got this to tell y'all, though. You know J-rod, right?"

J-rod stands for Jose Rodriguez. He was from Jalisco. Jose was a halfbreed. Mexican, and American. Mamacita was Jalisco raised. His Spanish was weak.  He always used English. J-rod was cool, though. He had heart. He always stuck to the pack no matter what. He was Las Chivas familia. He told me, him and his lil' mommy was going to have a humungous family. He used to box in Guadalajara. J-rod's from Guadalajara, Jalisco, Mexico.

"You said that, hoe," a listener said jokingly.
"Stop being a lil' puto, and listen."

At 19, he wanted to be a boxer. His goal was to win the IBA Golden Belt Series.

"You heard of it? Youngsters got something," the listener smiles.
"Keep interrupting, and I'm going to slap the shit out you. Anyway." The coworker keeps telling the story.

In training, Jose won some area boxing matches. He hadn't heard about the big leagues, though, until some dude bumped into him in front of the taqueria. J. was cool, he took the fliers and actually read them. It was a call to a gym for fighters that were interested in the IBA. Jose called, and he got to go and meet the manager. It was quick. J-rod showed up, the manager signaled to him. They were in an office behind the gym.

The manager slapped on a weird, homemade face protection mask. He says, "Hit me with your best shot, Chula." J-rod, being a young go getter, takes advantage. Yap! He connects twice. The manager has no words. He smiled, simply. Jose answers, "Thanks, boss."

He became close to the manager's boy, named Guillermo. They called him G-mo. He was a member of the area boxing group called Chivas familia. J-rod did his thing. J. had potential. There's winning potential and then there's championship potential. So, Chivas familia wanted him to throw a fight. J-rod refused. You know, already breaking the rules. No sweat. He was drugged before the match, anyway. J-rod was beaten to a pulp. The referee gave him the ten count three times. The crowd was in it. They were chanting. It was a call to break him. It was all for show and bets. Jose was laying on the mat bleeding from his mouth as if he were at home, asleep, slobbering on his pillow.

Post fight, there was always a meeting at the area bar. In Jose's honor, his manager held a TITOS VODKA shot party. Lemon, limes, cherries, oranges, and salt were all over the place. Empty 1.75 Liter bottles lined up like soldiers on the floor by the bar. There were some hotties there, too. All the fighters were there. Jose got numb and limped home. He wobbled into his house and dropped on his couch.

     J. shook awake and heard the rutcus outside. J. looked out of his window. Chivas was hanging out of the windows of a 1985 GMC Suburban K2500 Sierra Classic 4×4 350ci V8, brick red. It had been refurbished a handful of times. Guillermo hopped out first. Instead of making his way to knock on the door, he started yelling. "Come out here and ride with it, Jose!" Shouts turned to light threats.

J-rod was almost unconscious. He couldn't sleep, or drink anymore. He might as well finish his yard work in the backyard, he reasoned. J-rod found the broom. He slung it to the side. He strapped on the backpack blower, instead. "Let's get it done."

Las Chivas heard the leaf blower, faiintly, beginning to come alive. Guillermo led the pack to the half falling fence. They pushed in. Some climbed over.

Jose spun around, as he was trained to, quick, on his toes. Guillermo and his squad had spilled into his backyard, quietly. G-mo spoke, chillingly, "Únete a la familia o vete. Esto es todo para ti, hermano."

In his own yard, J. was presented with an invitation, but in a way that made him look at all the faces in his yard. A view he'd not forget. Guillermo says, "I'm not going to repeat, join us or leave?" It was an easy call, Guillermo had connections. He could make the must of whatever G-mo was stressing. It also looked like a can-of-ass-whooping soon to get opened up, on behalf of TITOS VODKA.

Jose Rodriguez joined Chivas familia fight family that night.

He kept training. Approximately, two weeks later, during a biweekly fight camp meeting, Guillermo, now leader of Las Chivas, elected to expand the families horizons. Literally. There were Chivas connections in Jalisco, Puebla, and Mexico City. G-mo exclaimed, "We are strong enough, Chicanos fuertes!" Guillermo, in hindsight, elected to push to Estados Unidos. "Punks pay to train. We train them. We work, but we fight harder," said Guillermo, looking solely into the eyes of those going to America to lay foundation for the family. "Jose Rodriguez is also going...," G-mo sipped from a highball glass with rocks, "...going to the States." He clapped J-rod, possessively on his v-shaped, fighter back. Then, he squared off playing, while he handed his drink to J.

Everything between that day and those days when Jose worked as a grass cutter in Santa Rosa had blurred together. He made it to America. He didn't swim across. He was on a luxury bus, asleep, the entire way. Getting to Estados Unidos was one thing. Getting a job was another thing. Keeping a good paying job is a motherfucker.

Jose Rodriguez is a leaf blower, or Professional Lawn Care Technician. He paid partial rent living with some coworkers. They all did some sort of light industrial work. One homey was a bartender, though, always having cash money. He'd had a few friends from Chivas familia. Him and Jose had a few, potential, fight gyms to square away with G-mo. Basically, he had to send the funds.

On this particular one morning, J-rod had a hangover. The dancefloor smoke in the club that night before was real smoke. The morning dragged by until break. The taco truck hooked him up, and he walked into the air conditioned building. A supposed work captain was yelping, "This job is cool, nice pay."

Jose says with a mocking tone, "The fuck is bullshit, but you'll get some scrap." His amigo smiled at him.

The captain spoke louder, "if you can, you have to be fast, and be able to multitask. Hack whatever is assigned by the Super. Maintain the grounds of industrial, commercial, and public property. There are other installation and enhancement activities, too. You get extra compensation after any difficult activities. Interested; follow me."

There was a shiny, new white work van with a brand new trailer hooked up to it. There were two vans. All of the equipment was amazingly immaculate. Cap' handed out all new work gear. He added, "The ride is extra long, get ready to go, now."

They loaded up, testing the shocks on both vans.

One of the bystanders speaks up, "How long is this punkass story, anyway? I heard this shit before. They stole all that fucking equipment, burned one of the vans. They got paid, bro!" His partner laughs and they smack hands.

The narrator keeps telling the story, despite the haters trying to bust his balls. "Long story, short, one of the vans was unaccounted for and the other van made it back to the Temp. yard on a flatbed tow truck. That's it out there," pointing to a forklifted, burned, mound of metal. It had bags and other trash accumulated around it, already. "No lie, bro. That was like a month ago, too."

The guy shook his head slowly as someone said loudly, "We still got fifteen minutes left." Some guy had his hat on, already.

In the background, a leaf blower let loose.

Everybody got back on the job, anyway.

Cellphone Fraud 2023

In our interconnected society, the threat of cellular fraud looms large, endangering the security of our mobile phones and services. The Federal Communications Commission (FCC) defines cellular fraud as the illicit manipulation, tampering, or unauthorized use of cellular devices and services. (fcc)   This grave issue encompasses various forms of deceit, including SIM swapping, cloning, and subscriber fraud. To safeguard ourselves, it is essential to understand the mechanics of these fraudulent activities and employ appropriate preventive measures.

SIM swapping, also known as a port-out scam, is a prevalent technique employed by scammers to gain unauthorized access to victims' mobile phone numbers. By deceiving mobile phone companies into believing they are the legitimate account holders, fraudsters initiate porting requests, transferring the victim's number to a device under their control. Alternatively, they may physically steal the victim's SIM card and utilize it in their own device. Once successful, scammers can assume control over private texts and calls, potentially resetting credentials for victims' financial data and social media accounts. This malicious access allows them to drain bank accounts and even hold social media data for ransom. (kaspersky)     The FCC advises individuals to be cautious and take preventive measures to protect against SIM swapping. (business insider)

Cell phone or SIM cloning fraud involves the reprogramming of a cell phone to transmit the electronic serial number (ESN) and mobile identification number (MIN) of another device. Scammers illicitly monitor radio wave transmissions from legitimate subscribers, obtaining ESN/MIN combinations. Cloned phones possess the same ESN/MIN as the original, making it arduous for cellular providers to distinguish between them. Consequently, scammers can exploit this situation to run up significant toll charges, leaving the legitimate user responsible for the cloned phone's calls. If unauthorized calls or charges appear on their accounts, individuals are encouraged to immediately notify their service providers. (consumer ftc)

Subscriber fraud occurs when criminals acquire fraudulently obtained customer information or false identification to sign up for cellular services. By assuming victims' identities, scammers establish cell phone accounts, remaining undetected until the fraud is discovered. Subscriber fraud can lead to substantial financial losses, as perpetrators exploit the obtained information for a range of illicit activities, such as fraudulent withdrawals, unauthorized transactions, or obtaining credit cards and loans. Victims should promptly contact local law enforcement, file police reports, and notify their current service providers, while also placing fraud alerts with major credit reporting bureaus. (usa.gov/credit-reports)

To combat the rising threat of cellular fraud, various federal statutes have been enacted. The Identity Theft and Assumption Deterrence Act, passed by Congress in 1998, prohibits the unlawful transfer or use of another person's means of identification with the intent to commit fraudulent activities. Other relevant statutes include identification fraud, credit card fraud, computer fraud, mail fraud, wire fraud, and financial institution fraud. These offenses carry severe penalties, including imprisonment, fines, and criminal forfeiture of assets.

Cybersecurity expert Robert Herjavec, emphasizes the urgency of addressing cellular fraud: "The challenge of cybersecurity is not just about national security or corporate espionage anymore. Personal privacy is being compromised at an unprecedented level". Similarly, former FBI Director James Comey highlights the need for collective action, stating, "We face cyber threats from state-sponsored hackers, hackers for hire, global cyber syndicates, and terrorists". These experts' insights underline the gravity of the issue and the necessity for concerted efforts in combating cellular fraud.

In conclusion, cellular fraud poses a significant risk in our increasingly connected world. SIM swapping, cloning, and subscriber fraud are tactics employed by scammers to gain unauthorized access to mobile phone numbers and exploit personal information. However, through vigilance, adherence to preventive measures, and collaboration with law enforcement and service providers, we can mitigate the risks associated with cellular fraud. Let us remain proactive in safeguarding our personal information, bolstering our digital defenses, and fostering a secure and resilient digital ecosystem.

Toxic sensitivity. Azo Dyes

Understanding toxic sensitivity is important for risk assessment and management in areas such as occupational health, environmental health, and public health. Identifying individuals or populations with increased toxic sensitivity allows for targeted protective measures, exposure prevention strategies, and the development of guidelines to minimize harm and promote overall health and well-being.

Let's turn our attention toward azo dyes.

Azo dyes are a class of synthetic organic dyes that contain the azo (-N=N-) functional group. They are widely used in various industries, including textiles, printing, cosmetics, and food. Azo dyes are known for their vibrant and diverse range of colors, making them popular for coloring fabrics, paints, inks, and consumer products.

The structure of azo dyes consists of one or more azo groups (-N=N-) that link aromatic compounds together. The specific arrangement and substitution of aromatic groups determine the color and properties of the dye. Azo dyes can have different chemical structures, such as monoazo, diazo, and polyazo compounds.

Due to their extensive industrial use, large quantities of azo dyes are produced globally. However, some azo dyes and their degradation products have been found to possess genotoxic and carcinogenic properties, raising concerns about their environmental and human health impacts. Efforts are being made to develop sustainable and eco-friendly methods, including microbial degradation, to address the environmental challenges associated with the disposal of azo dyes

The disposal of azo dyes requires careful consideration to minimize their potential environmental impact. Here are some common methods for the disposal of azo dyes:

  1. Treatment at wastewater treatment plants: A significant portion of azo dyes is discharged into wastewater systems. Proper treatment at wastewater treatment plants can help remove or degrade azo dyes before the treated water is released back into the environment. Physico-chemical processes, such as coagulation, flocculation, and activated carbon adsorption, are often employed for dye removal.

  2. Advanced oxidation processes: Advanced oxidation processes (AOPs), such as ozonation, ultraviolet (UV) irradiation, and Fenton's reagent (hydrogen peroxide and iron catalyst), can be used to degrade azo dyes and their degradation products. These processes generate highly reactive species that break down the dye molecules into less harmful substances.

  3. Biodegradation by microorganisms: Microbe-mediated dye degradation is considered a low-input and environmentally safe method. Certain bacteria and fungi have the ability to degrade azo dyes by utilizing them as a carbon and energy source. This biodegradation process can occur naturally in soil and water environments. However, it is crucial to ensure that the metabolites produced during the degradation process are not more toxic than the original dye.

  4. Adsorption: Adsorption onto activated carbon or other adsorbent materials is an effective method for removing azo dyes from wastewater. The dye molecules bind to the surface of the adsorbent, effectively removing them from the water. The adsorbent material can then be properly disposed of or regenerated for reuse

Azo dyes make up over 70% of the global industrial demand, with approximately 9 million tons produced annually. Disposing of around 4.5 million tons of dyes and their degraded products poses environmental and socio-economic concerns due to their genotoxic and carcinogenic potential. Microbe-mediated dye degradation is considered a low-input, cost-effective, and environmentally safe method compared to physico-chemical approaches.

The interaction between diverse dyes and microbes under different environmental conditions can result in varying levels of toxic metabolites. Past research on microbial dye degradation has focused mainly on decolorization, neglecting the detoxification aspect. Therefore, the environmental significance of microbial dye detoxification research conducted in the last three decades is evaluated, emphasizing the influence of dye structure and microbial interactions in different environments.

Laboratory-based studies provide insights into the fate and consequences of azo dyes/metabolites, but their ecological significance is limited. Recommendations are made for future studies, including a multilevel approach, multispecies microcosm approach, native species approach, and identification of dye metabolites to bridge the gap between fundamental knowledge and practical application in combating dye-induced environmental toxicity. This analysis provides an environmental perspective on dye toxicity, considering dye structure and the effects of environmental processes, and proposes a research framework for a better understanding of complex interactions between dyes, microbes, and the environment, aiming to facilitate environmentally sound microbial dye detoxification research.

Proper disposal of an environmentally toxic chemical can have several benefits, including:

  1. Environmental protection: By disposing of the toxic chemical appropriately, you prevent its release into the environment, minimizing the potential harm to ecosystems, water bodies, soil, and wildlife. This helps maintain ecological balance and biodiversity.

  2. Human health safeguarding: Toxic chemicals can pose risks to human health through direct exposure or contamination of air, water, and food sources. Proper disposal reduces the chances of accidental exposure and protects the well-being of individuals in the vicinity.

  3. Preventing pollution: The correct disposal of toxic chemicals prevents pollution of air, water, and soil, which can have far-reaching consequences on the environment and human health. It helps reduce the burden on natural resources and mitigates pollution-related issues, such as air and water contamination.

  4. Compliance with regulations: Many jurisdictions have specific regulations and guidelines for the disposal of toxic chemicals. Proper disposal ensures compliance with these regulations, avoiding legal consequences and potential penalties for improper handling or disposal.

  5. Sustainable practices: Adopting proper disposal methods aligns with sustainable practices by minimizing the negative environmental impact. It promotes responsible resource management and encourages the use of eco-friendly alternatives, contributing to a more sustainable and greener future.

  6. Reputation and social responsibility: For industries and organizations, implementing proper disposal measures demonstrates a commitment to environmental protection and social responsibility. It enhances their reputation among stakeholders, including customers, employees, and the community.

Overall, the proper disposal of environmentally toxic chemicals is essential for safeguarding the environment, protecting human health, complying with regulations, and promoting sustainable practices. It helps create a cleaner and safer less toxic sensitive environment for current and future generations.

Chapter 8 Aged

Tommy enquired about the Rehab visit to Marco.  "Marco had blue lips. He seemed to be on a bad hangover," the employee said.

After the ordeal simmered a bit, Tommy had a face to face with Marco.  Marco hesitated before confessing, "I've been struggling with fentanyl addiction. It's been hard to shake." Tommy felt a sense of responsibility towards his employee, and he knew he had to act fast. He immediately sought legal advice and learned about the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA). With the help of his lawyer, he was able to work out a plan to help Marco recover from his addiction without losing his job.  Under the ADA, employers are required to make reasonable accommodations for employees with disabilities. Tommy made sure that Marco received the necessary medical treatment and support he needed to recover. He also ensured that Marco's job was protected during this time.  It wasn't easy, but Marco successfully completed his treatment and returned to 3884 stronger and more determined than ever.

Tommy was proud of him and felt a sense of fulfillment knowing that he had made a positive impact on someone's life.  As the business grew, Tommy became more involved in the community, giving back through charitable contributions and volunteering. He felt a sense of responsibility to use his success to make a difference in the lives of others. He even started a program to help struggling gigolos get back on their feet.

One day, as Mr. Stepovich was sitting in his office, he received a call from an old client. She had been one of his first clients and had since become a close friend. She told him that she had been diagnosed with a terminal illness and had one final request.  She wated to spend one last night with him.Tommy was hesitant at first, he was a boss, but he ultimately agreed to her request.  A terminal  request .  It was very different to perform with the Grim Reaper standing over the bed.

That night, as they lay in bed together, he realized the true value of his work. He wasn't just selling sex, he was selling companionship, intimacy, and a sense of connection. He had helped so many people.  Tommy knew that he was making a real difference in the world.  As he lay next to his client, holding her hand, he felt a sense of peace and contentment. He had found his true calling, and he knew that he was meant to be a gigolo.

Chapter 7 Mr. Help

As the boss, he was now in a position to help the employees that worked for him.  He felt like a superhero.

It was easy to be outgoing with his workers.  He owned 3884.  Liam, 22, White, made Tommy laugh.  He seemed like an unpolished comedian.  The jokes just rolled out.  Funny as fuck, too.  Noah was easy to recognize as a gigolo.  Noah had perfect blonde hair, and it was hard to tell his ethnicity from one day to the next.  He talked about finally getting a GED.  Oliver, the old White dude, as he was referred to, was funny acting.  He could pass for a teenager, but he was 30 years old.  Elijah, Spanish, was an 18 year old book worm.  He was a lady killer at Barnes and Noble.  He didn't think I knew how he stalked me.  Nosey little sissy. He will answer for any ransomware attacks.  James had a perfect job to complement his ebony, MMA physique.  At 29, he was beginning to sway away from looking for a career in MMA.  William was 49, but he looked like he was 20.  Must be the curry.  He had a dirty Pakistani accent.  Benjamin, white, was a punk.  Nobody knew his real hair color.  He was 23, the go-to for the weirdos.  Lucas, Spanish, wanted to own a McDonald's one day.  He'd swear by it.  At 22, he had time to work towards that goal.  Good job, kid.  Henry was a smart ass, punk, white.  A 30 year old that spealized in emotional turmoil.  Then, we also had Theodore.  He was 21, Black, and he already had an MBA.  Congratulations, youngster.  If we opened another location, he was training to be the next boss.

Tommy noticed one of his employees, Marco, 23, Spanish, wasn't his usual self lately. Marco had been with the company for two years, and he was one of the best performers. Now, his work was slipping. He missed appointments, and when he did show up, he wasn't as enthusiastic as he used to be. Tommy pulled him aside one day and asked him what was going on. "No worries," he said.

Tommy decided to take action and have Marco followed home. He hired a private investigator to keep an eye on him and gather any useful information. After a few days of surveillance, the PI reported back to Tommy with Marco's address, which turned out to be in a sketchy part of town in some adult-only apartments on the southwest side of town.

Tommy took the reigns.  He used his 2017, Blacked out, Ford Mustang, GT. Inconspicuous, right.  He waited.  Marco got on schedule.  Tommy got in step.  At the apartments, he had to park illegally.  It was late, though, no issues.  Marco sat in the car for awhile, then he went home. Tommy was curious about what Marco was doing in his car for an hour before going to his apartment. He decided to send someone to keep an eye on Marco from a distance to find out what he was up to. After a few days of monitoring, the mystery was solved.  Marco was on fentanyl.  Like eight glasses of water a day.  His money wasn't suffering, though.  As a boss, Tommy knew that an influencer can lead the flock astray.  "This fentanyl shit needs to go away. Make this kid understand that he's great but that shit will destroy him", said Tommy.  "Yes sir, boss.  We got this," said the company maintenance man.

Tommy didn't hear anymore about it.  Marco began to keep up with himself.  Then, Tommy received a call.  Marco's dad had him placed into Rehab.  He had a coworker visit him to get the details.  Tommy genuinely wanted to know if 3884 could help him.

Chapter 6 Moving on up.

He started by reaching out, and began acquiring a genuine staff. New hires had a marketing contract. They had calls to make and scripts to read. Tommy spoke constantly with his staff.  He plotted, on the map, all of the best zones for exploitation.  Success was earned.

Tommy sat in his lawyer's office, going over the legalities of his gigolo service. He had come a long way since his days in jail, and he was determined to make sure everything was done legally. "You understand the potential liability issues, Mr. Stepovich?" the lawyer asked. Tommy nodded. "I do. That's why I want to make sure we have all of our bases covered."

The lawyer went over the legal requirements for operating a gigolo service, including licensing and registration, as well as the importance of having contracts with both clients and employees." Your employees need to be properly vetted and trained," the lawyer said. "And you need to have clear policies in place for dealing with any complaints or issues that may arise."

Tommy took notes, making sure to ask questions whenever he didn't understand something. He wanted to make sure he was fully informed and prepared. Once the legal requirements were all squared away, Tommy turned his attention to the business side of things. He met with his accountant, going over his finances and making sure everything was in order for tax season. He also began to think about expanding his gigolo service. He had a loyal client base, but he knew there was potential for growth. He considered offering more specialized services, such as fantasy roleplaying or BDSM. However, he knew he needed to proceed with caution. He didn't want to risk losing the trust of his clients by branching out too quickly. He needed to make sure he had the resources and staff to support any new services he offered.

As he continued to grow his business, Tommy made sure to give back to his community. He donated a portion of his profits to local charities:  Salvation Army, Save the Children, and the American Red Cross.  Tommy offered discounted services to those in need.  He was proud of what he had built.  He knew he had come a long way from his days in jail. He was now a respected businessman, and he was determined to continue growing his gigolo service while always operating ethically and legally.  Tommy smiled to himself as he left the lawyer's office, feeling confident and taken care of.  His future was lining up.

Mr. Tomislav Stepovich was in a new tax bracket.  Clients respected the brand, now. Long term clients were also giving feedback. Tommy's business continued to flourish, and he found himself with a surplus of cash on hand. He decided to invest in his business by opening up a brick-and-mortar location.  He consulted with a business attorney to ensure he was following all legal requirements for opening up a physical location. They went over lease agreements, permits, and zoning laws. Everything was done by the book.

Mr. Stepovich contacted an associate, named Bentlee.  He was familiar with some great leasing arrangements.  He emailed him and quickly received an answer.  There were some PDFs to spill over.  He was referred to a website.  He new the areas and looked at MAPS to see the details.  His choices were based on price per square foot per year.  He estimated needed square feet plus room for growth.  After some time, he found a location that was perfect for his business. It was in a busy commercial area, with plenty of foot traffic. He signed a lease agreement with the landlord, Bentlee, which included provisions for safety and security.  Tommy also made sure to obtain all necessary permits and licenses from the city. He didn't want to risk his business being shut down due to a lack of compliance. He worked closely with his attorney to ensure he was following all zoning laws and that the property was up to code.  Once the location was up and running, Tommy hired a team of lawyers to draft contracts for his employees.

The name of the business was simply the street address number of the building, 3884.  Simple, yet tasteful.

Tommy was careful, he wanted to make sure that everyone was protected and that there was no room for misinterpretation. He implemented a strict confidentiality agreement for both clients and employees to ensure privacy and discretion. He also ensured that all of his employees were properly trained on safety protocols and legal requirements.  Tommy knew that the gigolo industry was still largely unregulated, but he wanted to set a higher standard for his business. He made sure that his employees were above board and that they were operating in a legal and ethical manner.  As his business, 3884, grew, Tommy found himself facing new legal challenges. He sought the advice of his legal team on issues such as taxes, insurance, and liability. He wanted to ensure that his business was protected from any potential legal disputes.Tommy was proud of 3884. He knew that there were still negative stereotypes associated with the gigolo industry, but he was determined to change that. He wanted to show that it was possible to operate a successful, legal, and ethical gigolo service.  He continued to work closely with his legal team to stay up to date on any changes in laws and regulations that could affect his business. Tommy knew that by being proactive and staying on top of legal requirements, he could protect his business and provide a valuable service to his clients.  As he looked back on his journey, Tommy knew that he had come a long way from his days as a struggling gigolo. He was now a successful businessman, who had overcome adversity and had built a thriving company. He was proud of what he had accomplished and looked forward to continuing to grow 3884, while always operating within the boundaries of the law.

Chapter 5 Research student.

The next morning, Tommy woke up feeling a newfound sense of determination. He was going to make the most of his gigolo career and turn it into a thriving business.

First, he needed to do some research. He spent the day pouring over books and articles about the gigolo industry, taking notes and jotting down ideas. He learned about the different types of clients and what they were looking for in a gigolo. He read about the importance of discretion and confidentiality, and how to build a loyal client base. As the day turned into night, Tommy's head was swimming with information. He decided to take a break and grab some dinner at a nearby diner, Denny's. As he sat at the counter, sipping his coffee, a middle-aged woman sidled up to him. "Hello there," she said, batting her eyelashes. She was a milf. Not at all a hooker. She had grab-tempting tits. Her jeans didn't lessen the impression. Cute face, too. Her vibe was mature.

Tommy smiled politely, "Hi."  The woman leaned in closer, "You're a handsome young man. What brings you to this part of town?" Tommy raised an eyebrow. "Research," he said simply. The woman's face fell. "Oh. Well, if you ever need a...subject for your research, you know where to find me." Tommy chuckled, "Thanks, I think I've got all the research I need.  The research I want is going to be hard" She enjoyed herself. The waitress brought Tommy's order.  Tommy played his hand.  Milf-muffin laid her cards out.  She agreed.  Erection material, right there. The woman shrugged, anticipating their subsequent meeting, and walked away.  Tommy finished his meal in peace.

He slurped the freshly poured coffee, and thought about the different types of clients he had read about. Some were lonely, looking for companionship. Others were seeking excitement and adventure. And then there were those who simply wanted someone to talk to.Tommy made a mental note to keep these different types of clients in mind as he built his gigolo business. He knew that by catering to their specific needs and desires, he could build a loyal client base and make a name for himself in the industry.

As Tommy paid his bill and walked out of the diner, he felt a renewed sense of purpose. He was going to be the best gigolo he could be, and he was going to make a lot of money doing it.
The next day, Tommy hit the streets to do some field research. He walked around different parts of town, observing the types of people who lived there and the businesses that were thriving.  He walked in front of a fancy hotel, and decided to go in.  He was curious about what kind of clientele it attracted. As he walked through the lobby, he saw a woman sitting in a plush chair, staring at her phone.

Tommy approached her and introduced himself. "Hi there, I'm Tommy. Do you mind if I ask you a few questions?" He gave off a warm, friendly vibe. The woman looked up at him, intrigued, "Sure, go ahead." Tommy asked her about her job, her hobbies, and her interests. He listened intently as she spoke, taking mental notes about the things that seemed to excite her and make her happy.  Interesting.  Money making knowledge. As he left the hotel, Tommy felt a surge of confidence. He was getting better at reading people and figuring out what they wanted. He knew that this would be a valuable skill in his gigolo business.  Over the next few days, Tommy spent his time studying business models and developing a plan for his gigolo career. He decided to focus on providing high-quality service to his clients, while also building a reputation for discretion and confidentiality. He also decided to create a luxurious website, and some social media accounts, to promote his services. He spent hours designing the website and creating content that would appeal to his target audience.

As the weeks went by, Tommy's business began to grow. He started getting more and more clients, and his reputation as a top-notch gigolo began to spread. He even hired a few other gigolos to work for him, expanding his business and taking on more clients.  Despite the challenges of the gigolo industry, Tommy felt fulfilled and happy. He was doing what he loved, and he was making a lot of money doing it. He knew that there would be bumps in the road along the way, but he was confident that he could handle anything that came his way.  As he lay in bed at night, Tommy thought about all of the people he had met along the way. Some had been lonely, looking for companionship. Others had been seeking adventure and excitement. And then there were those who simply wanted someone to talk to.  Tommy knew that he had the skills and experience to meet all of those needs and more. He was determined to be the best gigolo he could be, and he knew that he had a bright future ahead of him.

As Tommy's business continued to grow, he became more and more successful. He began to travel to different cities, meeting new clients and expanding his network of contacts.  One day, Tommy received a call from a woman named Julia. She was a wealthy socialite who lived in New York City and was in need of a gigolo for a high-profile event. Tommy was thrilled to have been chosen for the job, and he immediately began making preparations for the trip.

When he arrived in New York, Tommy was amazed by the city's energy and class. He checked into a luxury hotel and began to get ready for the event.  As he was getting dressed, Tommy realized that he had forgotten his cufflinks. He quickly called the hotel's concierge, but they didn't have any cufflinks available. Tommy started to panic, he couldn't show up to the event without the proper attire.  Just then, there was a knock at the door. It was Julia, holding a small box. "I heard you needed some cufflinks," she said with a smile.  Tommy was grateful and amazed by her kindness. As he put on the cufflinks, he realized that this was a special kind of gigolo relationship. This is one that went beyond the physical. The event was a success, and Tommy impressed all of Julia's guests with his charm and wit. Afterward, Julia took him out for a night on the town, showing him some of her favorite spots in the city.  Over the next few days, Tommy and Julia spent a lot of time together. They went to art galleries, took long walks in Central Park, and even went on a helicopter ride over the city.  As their time together drew to a close, Tommy realized that he had feelings for Julia that went beyond the gigolo-client relationship. He didn't know how to tell her, though, and he didn't want to risk jeopardizing their business relationship.

On the day of his departure, Julia gave Tommy a gift.  It was a small, silver bracelet. "This is for you," she said. "To remember me by."  Tommy was touched by the gesture, and he knew that he would never forget Julia or their time together.  As he boarded the plane back to Dallas, Tommy felt a sense of satisfaction and fulfillment. He had built a successful business and had met some incredible people along the way. He knew that there would be more challenges and adventures ahead, but he was ready to face them head-on. Mr. Tomislav Stepovich, once a young man with nothing but a dream, had become a successful entrepreneur and gigolo extraordinaire. He had found his place in the world and was ready to take on whatever came his way.

Then, Evelyn meandered in his direction.  He couldn't see the case she carried.  A psych patient that didn't remember she had ordered sex. Evelyn refused to ask, politely, for a refund.
